Combining dance and film to raise climate change awareness.
Dance for Climate is a creative project that blends the expressive power of dance with the visual storytelling of film to raise awareness of climate change. By using movement, Dance for Climate seeks to inspire emotional engagement and action, highlighting the climate issues in an innovative and accessible way. The project will emphasize the interconnectedness of all living things and encourages people to appreciate the beauty of the world and take steps towards a more sustainable future.

The Process
Beginning in the Spring of 2026, Dance for Climate will begin the creation and filming process that will culminate in a dance film created over the course of six years.
Each year, a different choreographer will create a segment of the choreography, set to an original piece of music. Dancers, from all across the United States, will participate in telling the story of climate through dance and film.
Set in the same, site-specific, location each year, the film will highlight the realtime change occurring in the environment.
